A requirement to extend the existing manufacturing facility was identified to consolidate the company’s UK operation. Working as a planning consultant alongside an architect, transport consultant and civil engineer a full planning application was submitted for a side extension to the industrial building into the service yard area. A Transport Statement and Flood Risk Assessment were prepared to demonstrate the proposal is acceptable and will not have any adverse effects. The application was approved under delegated powers within the statutory time period allowing the construction work to start on-time.
I’ve instructed Karen Read for many years on a variety of planning related projects and found her practical working knowledge, experience and professionalism in dealing with planning authorities invaluable. We have encountered some challenging situations including the need to become involved in complex appeals on occasions. I have no doubt that without Karen’s tenacity and her solution-focussed approach, we would not have succeeded in gaining the formal consents we required.
The most recent case that KLR Planning have been instructed on was extremely well put together. Karen organised a number of essential professionals and sub-consultants within a very short timescale and achieved a 100 per cent successful outcome, on time, to budget and without having any onerous pre-development conditions attached to our consent.
